Lost Amusement Parks
An attempt by Jeffrey Stanton to write the history of 1000 defunct amusement parks. Although.
less than 20 parks have been written about so far, research has been going on for three years. State lists of defunct parks with rides and attractions are the best on the Internet with operating dates and usually why each park closed.
About 15% of the parks have appeared in Billboard lists, yet there is no information available on the Internet or at historical societies that ignore inquires about old amusement parks in their cities or towns.
