Oklahoma Pavilion

Oklahoma's pavilion was not a building, but a park with winding pathways and spacious lawns, pools and shelters arranged around a large, sunken topographical map of the state. The 96 x 46 foot map showed animated displays of Oklahoma life; a boat pulled a water skier over the lake; a cattle auction was in progress in an Oklahoma City stockyard; cowboys tended the steers that made Oklahoma second only to Texas as a beef producer.

A pathway lead to a band shell where Oklahoma musical groups, from symphony orchestras to brass bands, performed.
