AMF Monorail
The American Machine & Foundry Company designed and fabricated a transportation concept for the future. Their two-car monorail trains rode on a 4000 foot loop of track in the Lake Amusement area. The trains rode below the track and were suspended from overhead power units with rubber tires. Three trains traveled in one direction, while four others traveled in the opposite direction on a parallel track in this eight minute ride. The loading platform, reached by escalator, was half way up the terminal building.
